About the nonprofit
We are Vahe Meliksetyan Educational-Medical Foundation
“Vahe Meliksetyan” Educational-Medical Foundation was established in 2021 to honor the death of Vahe Meliksatyan, who died in the second Artsakh war. The foundation aims to implement his professional ideas and goals in the medical field of Armenia since he was a prominent clinical pharmacist, scientist, lecturer at the YSMU Chair of Clinical Pharmacology, and a patriotic Armenian.
Our Mission and Vision
Our mission is to develop pharmacy, and especially clinical pharmacy, in the Republic of Armenia.
We envision a time when clinical pharmacy is an integral part of the Armenian healthcare system, and clinical pharmacists are key contributors to the welfare of patients. We believe that, through collaboration with healthcare professionals and government officials, we can drive legislative changes that support the integration of clinical pharmacists in hospitals and other healthcare settings.
Our Projects
At the Vahe Meliksetyan Foundation, we initiate projects:
- To make fundamental changes in the Armenian healthcare system by institutionalizing the role of clinical pharmacists
- To provide scholarships to students who envision a career in clinical pharmacy
- To offer encouraging scholarships to children with the best academic achievements studying in Vanadzor School #28 after Vahe Meliksetyan
